Mitchell Lattof Jr.

Mitchell Lattof Jr. is the senior partner and president for the personal injury firm of Lattof & Lattof, P.C. which has been helping victims of accidents and injuries in the Mobile, Alabama area as well as the entire state of Alabama and nationwide throughout the United States since 1952.

Education

After attending high school at University Military School (now UMS-Wright Preparatory School) in Mobile, Mitch attended the University of Alabama, graduating with a B.A. Degree in American Studies in 1976 and a Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Alabama School of Law in 1979.

Practice of Law as a Personal Injury Attorney

The State of Alabama licensed Mitch as a member of the state bar in 1979 and he immediately joined his father’s personal injury law firm in Mobile, Alabama. A few years thereafter, the firm became known as Lattof & Lattof, P.C., and Mitch has been actively practicing law and specializing almost exclusively in personal injury litigation with the firm, becoming President of the professional corporation in 2010. Since 1979, Mitch has been licensed to practice before all courts within the State of Alabama and has been admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Alabama (1979), The United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit (1979), the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit (1981), and the Supreme Court of the United States (1986).

Professional Memberships and Recognitions

Mitch is a Member of the Mobile Bar Association, the Alabama State Bar, the American Bar Association and has been a member of the Alabama Association for Justice and the  Alabama Trial Lawyers Association for which he served on the Board of Governors for a number of years. He has been named to the National Trial Lawyers Top 100 and has an “AV” rating with Martindale-Hubbell, which puts him among an elite group of attorneys who have been rated highly by other attorneys as having Very High Ethical Standards and an “A” grade (4.5 or higher).

Civic and Public Service

Since 1989 Mitch has been an active member of the Gulf Shores Methodist Church for which he serves as Chairman of Staff Parish Relations, Church Council Member and on various other committees. He has also served on the Board of Governors for the Community Foundation of South Alabama, is active in Mobile Mardi Gras events, and been involved with various other civic, philanthropic, and charitable organizations in Mobile and Baldwin Counties and the surrounding areas of southwest Alabama for the betterment of the community.
